Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Keyhand app for iPhone and iPad (the "App") handles information. The App is developed by Hakan Emin, an independent developer ("I", "me"). The short version: Keyhand does not collect any personal data.

1. No data collection

The App has no account system, no server and no backend. It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software, and it does not track you across apps or websites. I do not receive, store or have access to your projects, photos, notes, plans, client details or reports.

2. Data stored on your device

Everything you create in the App, including inspections, photos, markup, dictated text, floor plans, signatures, logos and exported reports, is stored locally on your device. It leaves your device only when you choose to share, export or back it up, for example by sending a PDF by email, saving a CSV to Files or saving a backup to iCloud Drive. Those transfers are handled by Apple or by the service you choose, under their own privacy terms.

3. Device permissions

• Camera: to take photos of defects. Photos are saved inside the App on your device.
• Photos: to import existing pictures or your company logo, only when you choose to.
• Microphone and Speech Recognition: to dictate defect notes. Speech is processed by Apple's speech recognition, on the device where supported. Keyhand does not send audio to me or to any server of mine.
• Calendar (add only): to add inspections you book to your calendar. The App cannot read your existing events.
• Notifications: for inspection reminders you schedule. Reminders are created locally.

You can change these permissions at any time in your device Settings.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. I do not receive your payment details. Apple shares only anonymised sales information with developers, as described in Apple's privacy policy.

5. Backups

If you save a backup to iCloud Drive, it is stored in your own iCloud account under Apple's terms. I cannot access it.

6. This website and email

This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. If you contact me, I use your details and message only to reply. They are never sold or shared, and are deleted on request. The hosting provider may briefly process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

7. Children

The App is a professional tool and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, including children.

8. Your rights

Because the App collects no personal data, there is nothing for me to access, correct or delete on your behalf. Your App data is under your control and is removed when you delete it or the App. For messages you sent me, you can ask for access or deletion at any time. Under UK GDPR and the Australian Privacy Act you may also complain to the ICO or the OAIC.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
